Mencap conditions of entry to the Superhero Challenge 2022
These terms and conditions apply to your place on the Superhero Challenge 2022 event provided by Mencap.
- The event is open to all ages who can complete the specified distances. All children under 16 must take part with a participating adult.
- You enter the Superhero Challenge 2022 event entirely at your own risk and Mencap shall not be liable for any injury or loss you may suffer or incur as a result of your participation in this event.
- You must abide by the rules, instructions and regulations provided by Mencap staff, contracted agencies, officials, and police.
- If you are unsure of your physical ability to take part, you should take medical advice from your doctor to ensure that you are physically fit to participate and it is extremely important that you are realistic about your abilities to participate.
- To receive a place on the Superhero Challenge 2022 event, you must pay Mencap a non-refundable fee of £10.
- You agree to try and raise £100, which is the recommended sponsorship target. We appreciate that this may not be possible, and just ask that you raise as much as you can.
- Registration fee is refundable only if the event is cancelled by Mencap. The registration fee will not be refunded for any other reason. If you withdraw you must notify Mencap on 028 9069 1351 / community.fundraising@mencap.org.uk
- If for any reason you choose not to take part or the event is cancelled, all sponsorship forms and money collected must be forwarded to Mencap and will not be refunded without a written request from individual sponsors.
- You must pass onto Mencap all monies raised in connection with the event. You can do this by:
- Pay online with your credit or debit card
- Raise funds through JustGiving
- Royal Mencap Society, Mencap, 6 Cyrus Way, Hampton, Peterborough, PE7 8HP11.
- By taking part in the event you confirm that you are happy for your name, footage or photographs taken during your participation in the Superhero Challenge 2022 event to be used to publicise Mencap’s work. Any photographs or video footage may be used on Mencap’s website or social media networks.
- In fundraising for Mencap you agree:
- To submit all used or unused sponsorship forms
- Not to reproduce Mencap’s logo without permission
- Not to collect in a private place without first obtaining a collectors licence from the local authority
- Not to raise funds by carrying out house to house collections
- Not to raise fund by conducting a public lottery or raffle
- Not to do anything to bring the name of Mencap into disrepute.
